The Mayor of Kileler and President of the Regional Association of Municipalities of Thessaly Mr. Nasiakopoulos visited EDA THESS offices where he was informed about the Company's Development Program 2020 - 2024, regarding the areas of Thessaly
Over €140 million of investments for the 5-year period 2020 – 2024 are programmed by the Gas Distribution Company Thessaloniki – Thessalia (EDA THESS), as reported by the General Manager of the Company, Mr. Leonidas Bakouras in his interview to “N”. Main objective of the investment plan is the rate of the gas penetration to be increased by 19% compared to the levels as of today, as well as the distributed volumes of natural gas in the licensed areas of the Company.
The first confirmed case of coronavirus in Thessaloniki was just a matter of time and nothing really changes for the personnel of EDA THESS. Thanks to the constant communication with the competent authorities, the proper briefing and the usual precaution measures, that have already been taken every year, panic and disrupting rumors are completely absent in EDA THESS.
General Manager of EDA THESS, Mr. Bakouras Leonidas, the Director of Network Development and New Connections of Thessaly, Mrs. E. Kalogirou and Company executives, visited the facilities of the state-of-the-art Greenhouse «Kipi Karditsas» in Karditsomagoula of the Municipality of Karditsa, Region of Thessaly. They were welcomed by the owners, Mr. Lellis Georgios and Mr. Papargiropoulos Argirios and guided in the infrastructures of the Hydroponic Cultivation greenhouse that utilizes High-Efficiency Electricity and Heat Cogeneration.
Particularly ambitious goals are set by the five-year Development Plan for the period 2020-2024 of EDA THESS that has been submitted to RAE, with investments that exceed 140 mil.€. In particular, 90,1 mil€ relates to the Regional Unit of Thessaloniki and 50,5 mil€ to the Region of Thessaly. EDA THESS utilizes the favorable economic conditions and low interest rates for the implementation of its planning in large investments.
Τhe conference on the new landscape in the energy market organized by Voria.gr on February 7th in Thessaloniki, was attended by the General Manager of EDA THESS, Mr. Leonidas Bakouras.
Dynamic was the presence of EDA THESS at the II European Growth Forum, in Infrastructure, evolution in energy sector – Environment session, which was held in Larissa on 25- 26/01/2020, organized by the Prefecture of Thessaly and “Eleftheria” newspaper.
A meeting was held in the Sykourio Municipal Community, between the General Manager of EDA THESS, Mr. Leonidas Bakouras and his executives with the Mayor of Tempi, Mr. George Manolis regarding the connection of Sykourio to the natural gas distribution network.

The new collective labor employment agreement was signed by the General Manager of EDA THESS, Mr. Leonidas Bakouras and the Union Trade.
